CURRENT TRANSFORMER (CT)

Current transformer (CT) production process is starting from core winding process, then core furnace heat treatment, autocoating cores, winding coils, epoxy and case assembly. Material core is silicon steel, nano crystalline and nickle core. Silicon Steel cores provide moderate accuracy and lower cost for applications such as current measurement and current relaying.

Nano crystalline cores provide a wider operational temperature range and significantly higher impedance at high frequencies.

Nano-crystalline cores are getting wider usage because of its high permeability, high magnetization and lower cost in the field of power supply systems, power energy measurement and controlling systems, dynamical system, relay protection, etc.

The biggest feature of iron nickle alloy Permalloy is its high magnetic permeability in weak magnetic fields. High sensitivity and small power transformers used in weak magnetic fields, low power magnetic amplifiers,and relays.

Our products clasification are toroidal CT, external CT and Rootech.

Working principle, CT reduce high voltage currents to a much lower value and provide a convenient way of safety monitoring the actual electrical current flowing in an AC transmission line using a standard measuring devices.

The measuring devices cannot be directly connected to the high magnitude supplies. Hence CT's are used to supply those devices with currents of magnitude proportional to those of power.
